CDAC Minigrants

Minigrants and Professional Development

STTAC logoCDAC provides mini-grants to classified staff members who wish to engage in professional development activities. The grants can be used for conferences, workshops, online courses, or classes. There are no funds for Books, materials, and food, unless it is part of the registration fee.

The annual maximum grant is $200 per staff member, but the grant can be combined with other funding sources. Group grants are also available for group activities.

STTAC (Staff Training for Technical and Community Colleges) has a retreat every year at a different WA State community college.  These retreats are fun, informative and a great way to meet staff from colleges all over the State.  Click on the logo to learn more.

Minigrant Application Guidelines

Minigrant Application Form

Permanent Washington state employees employed 50 percent full-time equivalency (FTE) may register on a space-available basis using the State Tuition Waiver.  Students attempting to use the waiver will go to class on the first day of the class. Using the standard registration form, obtain instructor’s signature if space is available (Including all waitlisted students intending to enroll) and submit it to the Admissions/Registration Office beginning the sixth day (fifth day for summer) of the quarter through the tenth day (eighth day for summer) of the quarter. The cost is $20 for the first six credits and is non-refundable, however you can apply for this to be covered by a CDAC mini-grant.

You also must fill out a Certification of Employment Form found on the Discounts and Waivers page. For questions please contact the NSC Cashier’s Office at (206) 934-3627.
